La Facultad de Idiomas, sponsored by Language Learning,invites you to the following presentations and workshops free of charge:

Day 1 (Open to all students, our faculty and visiting faculty) Monday, July 7th, 2008 held at the Auditorium of the Centro Cultural Universitario, Ciudad Universitaria (CU)
9:00 - 9:30 Official Opening and Presentation
9:30 - 11:00 a.m. Plenary Presentation: 'Communicative Language Teaching: Folklore and Facts" (1 hour followed by ½ hour of questions/discussion)
11:30 - 1:00 Second Plenary Presentation: Teaching language and content: Is it possible to get "Two for One"? (1 hour presentation followed by ½ hour of questions/discussion)

Day 2 (Open to our faculty and visiting faculty), Tuesday, July 8th, 2008 held at the Facultad de Idiomas, Ciudad Universitaria (CU)
9:00- 11:00 a.m. Workshop: 'Form-focused instruction and communicative language teaching' (2 hours)
11:30 - 1:30 p.m. Workshop: "The role of corrective feedback in the second/foreign language classroom" (2 hours)

Day 3 (Open to our faculty, master's students and visiting faculty) Wednesday, July 9th, 2008 held at the Facultad de Idiomas, Ciudad Universitaria (CU)
10:00 to 1:30 p.m. Three-hour workshop with a 30-minute break. "Conditions and challenges of doing research in second/foreign language classrooms."
